2. How do I reset the scanner to the factory default?

  1. Scan the barcodes in the sequence listed below from the manual:
  2. Scan Start of Configuration on page 1
  3. Scan Restore the factory parameter under Reset (depending on the interface of the scanner)
  4. Scan USB or RS232 under Communication – Interface Selection
  5. Scan End of Configuration on page 1

3. How to set it to be hands free?

  1. Scan the barcodes in the sequence listed below from the manual:

  3. Scan Continuous recognition under Scan Mode (or the desired Scan Mode that you preferred to use)

Scan the barcodes in the sequence listed below from the manual:

  1. Scan Start of Configuration on page 5
  2. Scan Enable Function Key under Special Keyboard Features
  3. Scan Full ASCII under Standard/Full ASCII Code 39
  4. Scan End of Configuration on page 16
  5. Scan the specific function key barcode from the Function Key Barcode table as needed

9. How to get the 10 digits ISBN number out of the 13 digits EAN-13 barcode?

Scan the barcodes in the sequence listed below from the manual:

  1. Scan Start of Configuration on page 14
  2. Scan Enable under ISBN/ISSN Conversion
  3. Scan End of Configuration on page 14

10. How to eliminate the start/stop characters (such as A - A, A - B) for Codabar barcode?

The transmission of the start/stop characters (such as A - A, A – B) for Codabar barcode is disabled by default.  But if it was enabled, you can scan the barcodes in the sequence listed below from the manual to disable it or reset the scanner to the factory default (see FAQ # 2 for this):

  1. Scan Start of Configuration on page 19 which should be for Codabar
  2. Scan Enable under Start/Stop Transmission
  3. Scan End of Configuration on page 19

11. How to program a suffix of F10 so that it acts like the F10 keys is pressed on the keyboard at the end of the keyboard at the end of the barcode?

  1. Scan any of the Start of Configuration on the manual
  2. Scan None under Suffix section on page 6
  3. Scan Start of Configuration on page 16
  4. Scan Enable Function Key on page 5
  5. Scan Set Suffix Characters on page 3
