RoHS Compliant Products

ID TECH supplies RoHS Compliant Products with the following Program & Process.

The European Union (EU) issued this directive to minimize the danger for humans caused by materials commonly used in the production of electronic equipment. As an ISO9001:2000 certified and environmentally concerned company, IDTECH has an established program and process for compliance with the directive.

The ID TECH program for compliance with the European Restriction on use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) is in place and the process continues for production compliant product. Compliant product is being supplied to our customers world wide.

We self-certify our products as RoHS compliant, based on certification and assurances from our suppliers. Suppliers must ensure, and certify that the manufacturing processes, components, and materials used produce a compliant finished product.

IDTECH considers our end-product to be compliant or non-compliant based upon verification of certified compliant content of individual material and component elements of that product. Performing destructive tests and/or lab analysis is not utilized.

All RoHS compliant products have 'RoHS' printed on the product's label. IDTECH will provide material declarations, statements, or certifications of RoHS compliance for general products upon requests only. Due to the absence of industry standards and resource limitations, we cannot provide wholesale material disclosures or applicable declarations.

IDTECH started shipping RoHS compliant products and components on 11-7-05. We accept orders for compliant products with 12 week lead time or less, for products where compliant components are available. We do not anticipate form, fit or function differences between our RoHS compliant and non-compliant units.

All applicable ID TECH products will become RoHS compliant in the near future.
